new member here, so thought id say hey and put up some rig pics. Will be floating around a fair bit - mostly on the audio side of things as that's what i do.....
my lil system:
- pc, i5-3750K clocked @ 4ghz, 8gb ram, gtx460 GFX, Asus VE278Q and MW221 screens on dual VESA mount, Bluray drive running Powerdvd12 playback software, Asus P8Z77-V mobo, Corsair TX850 PSU, 120mm Silent fans all around mounted into a 4U rack case front>rear cooling. Not the prettiest internals but works and stays very cool.
sound: TOSLINK 5.1 to yamaha DSP-E800 reciever amp, Left and Right channels alesis M1 actives, Center and surrounds are alesis M1 passives. Sub is a DIY build, with dual REL Quake drivers and a BK 300w amp module tuned to give a flat response to about 35hz with slow rolloff below.
For watching movies i put the 27" screen central to the sound field [desk].

[ps: i know thats the GTS250 pictured inside, i couldn't be arsed to dig it out for an updated pic]
i work summers in touring sound/lighting hence the rack build, with the idea of being able to take the rack out as a 'budget' 5.1 cinema playback rig, using a large Barco projector.
Thanks for looking... be kind! Its my first post here....
