Hey Garp old Chap

My server bliss has decided to take a dive for some reason. I'll be across in the DC sometime around 11 o'clock and I'll see what its doing then.

Nicht gut I'm afraid guys. The RAID1 array has decided to eat itself or something; either that or the fault occurred at a software level and managed to corrupt both the primary and the mirror disk. I've dragged the server back to my main office and I can work on it around my normal work (co-incidentally its installing another new server, unfortunately which I can't borg.) I'm not 100% certain when it will be back in operation, should be within the next 12-24 hours.

Right.. sigs are back but at the time of writing using old data. Will be updated and cron'd hopefully in the next 30m once I work out why php is arguing with mysql (its probably some obvious mistake)

thanks again Garp :)

looks to be only 2WUs behind for me at the moment so I don't know if that's back to normal or not - hope it's not giving you too much grief :o

Looks to be just Stanford lagging behind. Cron job seems to be running fine and the database updating. Got a couple of tweaks I may make tomorrow to everything but other than that it should all be okay. I'm a bit concerned about my server managing to corrupt its array's data like that. Not good at all. Hopefully there isn't anything seriously wrong with it, but it may need replacing at some stage. Rumour has it I'll be able to whip a DL360 G2 from works 'quarantine' stores in the not so distant future... here's hoping. I could do without a server that randomly screws up its data!

*goes off in search of a brick wall.*

Bliss has fallen over again. GARGH!!!!

Guess thats a trip to the data centre tomorrow :(

Unlucky mate :(

Aye.. if the RAID array has died again I'll be thinking about a replacement.

At least it was only cheap (£60-70 region), and I can flog it on flea-bay again :)

Disk array had eaten itself again.. GARGH..

Here's hoping I can persuade our DC manager to chuck one of the old servers in my direction :)
