hey guys help me pick a 4870...

New system buidl with an x38mobo. Im looking to run Crossfire at some point, so dual 4870.

I Run a 1600x1050res atm, can really see me going higher in the near future andthing bigger than 21" will make me go blind.
Basically im trying to decide between a 512mb card and a 1gig card. Whichever i get will be doubled in about 2-3 months.
The only 1gig card i can see is the powercolour with stock cooler, i quite like using no stock, i have a zalman v1000 on an old 8800 would that fit this card?

So which would you reccommend? Ive specced a 850W PSU, should this be enough power?

The 1gb one is a few quid more so get it.

Your psu will be fine

The 512mb ones are not worth buying now with the 1gb only a couple of quid more.

I doubt the Zalman would fit as it would be different layout for the 8800, if you dont fancy the stock cooler you can always get an Accelero S1 with a nice quiet fan to go with it.

i would get the 1gb version as the price diff is negligable

Could be a returner/repaired, has bits missing (some cables/adapaters probably in this case).
