hey everyone jay here in canada!! sure hope someone will help me out here...
im looking for someone else with a ex58-ud5 AND an i7 965 and im trying to find some 4.2 settings with hyperthreading ON. ive tried and tried but can't seem to get it Prime stable. from what ive seen it looks like the vcore has to be 1.5 at least but i think im wrong and that something else is missing that ive overlooked. im able to get 4.0 with HT on and 4.35 with HT off.
you have no idea how much id appreciate some help here thanks so much.

ps. im the process of moving and dont have my notes with me so i cant really give you any old stable settings. cheers

i have a Coolit boreas cooler temps are ok in the 70's.
it is a c0 i7 and i was hoping to get some bios at 4.2 HT from other 965 users...
191 bclk is the highest i can go cuz qpi speed gets over 7 and is unstable.
i have 1600 corsair ram
ive tried EVERYTHING and it seems like vcore and qpivtt need to be at least 1.475
ive tried upping iohcore but that doesnt really help
ive tried upping pcie but that doesnt really help
1.64 dram seems like the sweetspot for all settings
load line enabled, uncore = 2x ram no more
seems to work with most things on auto
around 40 minutes PRime is the best ive gotten but thats with a vcore of 1.5
i think theres something im missing
ive tried upping tras and the other ram settings but that doesnt do much

what else would yall like to know

thanks for the reply and sorry about the "shouting" ive never heard that before
my lowest qpi link multi is x36 ........so 200 x 36 = 7.2 and ive read that anything over 7 gets unstable.
i just wanted to see if i was on the right track and to see what other people have done or if there was anything ive missed.
as for higher bclks they are better with slightly lower vcore and temps as opposed to higher cpu multis which seem to want more vcore
my max bclk with HT on is 175 at 4.0
im trying ioh core of 1.32 now and here are my specs

heres what ive got...

cpu enhanced halt state.... enabled
c3/c6/c7 state support ..... enabled
cpu thermal monitor.......... enabled
cpu eist function............. disabled
virtualization.................... disabled
bidirectional.................... enabled

just ran 7:30 minutes
21x200 = 4.2
qpi = x36 = 7.2
ht on turbo off
mem = x8 = 1600
uncore = x16

vcore = 1.4625
qpivtt = 1.455
ioh = 1.32 on auto it said 1.30
dram = 1.64
all else set manual to auto settings

going to try
vcore = 1.46875
qpivtt = 1.455
ioh = 1.34

any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated

hey bud.... based on those settings is there anything that you would change?
maybe for those power saving functions or maybe voltages?

on auto the cpupll wants to be 1.8 so you want me to try 1.3? that sounds strange but ok ill give it a try and ill disable the c3/c6/c7 support.
