Hey There,
My Budget is £1000 - but thats pushing it.
I like the look of the Ultima Gamer PC - i7 950 Hydrophobia- But its 1,100 + i want 12 gig memory with it which will push it up to 1,300-1,500.
I would like a water cooled processor (for overclocking)
a decent asus motherboard, (for software overclock)
the best processor for the best GHz, (overclocked again)
decent graphics card. (only single due to game not being that strong [maybe overclockable])
decent harddrive (even thought ive been told solid state drives make the computer faster - so maybe one of them)
average power supply (around 750 wats) need enough power for my overclocking
i want 7.1 surround sound, because im looking at buying the razer megalodon headset (which will probably be on the board)
and i need al this just as a tower, dont need windows 7, dont need screen, dont need any accessories, just the tower.
And also want to try get underneath the £800 budget region :)
Thanks if anyone can help, i basically want the hydrophobia, but for cheaper :)
if you have any other suggestions on a better system for less money that will tick all my boxes for overclocking then please suggest.

firstly you give and explaination to why you want the other components but not the ram,12gb is completely over the top for gaming and general use what do you plan to do with the pc?
also if you build it yourself it will be cheaper.

Can add a 2nd 6870 to this eventually...they scale amazing.

You will not get a decent gaming rig for that price with other good components containing at least 8gb ram but to be honest 4gb is enough for a good while for gaming which i assume you want to use it for.

For 800 quid you need to compromise. SSD is pretty much out of the question and if you're not running sli/crossfire a decent 500-600W PSU would be sufficient.

Welcome to the forums :)

If you want the Hydrophobia... why don't you check the spec and cost up the components separately and work it out?

Give us a "TRUE" idea of what you want/achieve with this rig? It will help in suggesting the most cost effective parts for you.

ATB :)

Beware of computer experts, actually beware of all that claim the title experts. :D

War rock is going to use about 2.4GB or ram max as far as I have seen (couple of mates do play it). So regardless of what route you take. P55 or X58 chipset you will have no problems with 4 or 6 GB of ram.
