I saw your thread about making that computer for the guy that lived near you - nice of you btw - just wondering about one thing.

You placed the antec truepower faced down, so the fan is pointing out the bottom of the case. Im getting that exact psu tommorow to replace a corsair, and my case has dust filter and breathing space under where the psu goes - should i do what you did? Is it an outtake fan or what..

Cheers :D

It draws air from under the case and straight out the back, just make sure you dont sit the case straight onto carpet etc.

The fan will draw fresh air and expel out the back.

is your name Stulid?

I think you'll find yours isn't either.... :D:p

-wonders if stulid is some form of demi-god on these forums who everyone requests advice from, instead of listening to others? - :p

Na, it's just easier to get him to check because everyone knows if you put 'Stulid' in the title all the Gen Hardware freq visitors will read it xD Hence I ended up here xD

This. ^^

The only time the PSU fan should really be pointing UP in the bottom of the case is if your machine is on a carpet (like mine :( )

Sorry for butting into this thread...

Question regarding the above - would it be ok if you placed some wood flooring or similar between the carpet and the case?

Seems we are getting some fellow ocukers who are becoming famous in certain sections.

Stulid: General Hardware section

RavenXXX2: Graphics card section

PCM2: Monitor section

Castiel: Speaker's corner

Asim18 & Chuggerboom: General Discussion

(must be more but can't think of anyone else atm :p)
