Guys need some help here totally fed up of the crud HH5 wifi dropping half the wireless devices for around 24 hrs at a time then everything back to normal for a few weeks. I need a good VDSL replacement for the HH5 between £100 and 150.
Unless anybody knows how to fix the cruddy HH5

As above keep the HH5 on as a modem and use an AP of your choice.

There are many good units in that price range. Asus AC68, Netgear Nighthawk AC1900, TP-Link C2600...

The modem on the HH5 is not that bad, so to improve the wifi which is most peoples complaints with them you simply need a new AP, i.e. the Unifi AC pro.

Just switched from a HH5 to a Asus RT-N66U Router and a Huawei HG612 3B Modem and the difference is amazing for just over £100. I've gone from constant ping bursts, lag, dropout which i've been trying to get fixed for the past 6+ months with BT. They even fully replaced the line leading into the house with new cable, boxes etc which didn't fix it and switching from their crappy home hub to the above has so far fixed it all but only a few days in so don't want to jinx it.

Wireless is very much improved to, so overall a very worthy purchase.

Yes, the AP connects to any ethernet port.

In terms of speed/coverage it goes from AC Lite < AC-LR < AC-Pro, Pro being the best, and easily fits within your budget.
