Hi all, I have 2x 480GTX but I am just wondering. Is there anything out now that I can upgrade to that will better it by a lot? Or wont their be much performance boost? Thanks!

Nah. Not worth upgrading to anything else ATM, unless you are really struggling for performance. Even then you'd need something like 3 x GTX580 3GB to notice a BIG difference

Oh and I think your signature breaks the rules :)

Haha "tasty" Thanks :P I don't think my bloody MB can fit 3 cards in... What about anothe 480 gtx? Or would 2x 590 GTX be a big difference. I play Crysis 1 on full settings 1920-1200 4x AA and only like 30-40 fps. Probably less... And doesnt feel smooth in some places. Would any of the new cards max that game out highest with good framerates or am I wishfull thinking and being a ungratefull tw** :D But my PC cant even play Metro 2033 with highest settings.. I have 980 I7 X 6 gig ddr3 and them cards :(

Do you think I just hold on and wait for these Kelper to come out? Also how do I find out what motherboard I got please?

Removed sig as well, will fix that later thank for info!

For Crysis 1, I would suspect rather than the GTX480 SLI not being fast enough, it would but more due to CPU bottleneck because that's an old game that only uses 2 cores (so it would hold back the GTX480 SLI). You can confirm this by checking your GPU usages for your two GTX480 while in game...if they are not used to the max, then it is CPU bottleneck. If your i7 980X is on stock speed, I would strongly recommend you to overclock it.
Here's something for your reference...you can see the frame rate difference between a i7 980X at stock and overclocked to 4.4GHz, despite it is on the same graphic card the 5870:

As for Metro2033, it is actually still the most graphic demanding game at the moment. On the CPU side I don't think it will bottleneck since this game is optimised to use 6 cores. If I recall correctly, a pair of overclocked GTX580 in SLI are needed to get decent frame rate at the highest settings at 1920 res.

tbh i am suprised that set up is not working out for you on crysis, whilst i cant say if the numbers you are gettign are right i wouldnt go for a third 480. Your set up is very high end and any changes from upgrade would not be worth it i think.
unless you got cash to burn best to wait till next year
