Hi All
For business use i recently purchased a Levono SL510 notebook, this came with only 2gb of ram 1X2gb ddr3 1066 mhz, but since the pc is expandable upto 8gb i decided to look for 2x4gb memory sticks, the only catch is to comply with the Lenovo warranty i must purchase Hynix memory,
while browsing the uk online market place? i saw quite a good deal for 2x4gb
of new Hynix cards, the seller had sold quite a lot and had good feedback,
when i recieved the sticks on inspection i could not find a brand name on them due to a rubber strip that was stuck to both sides of the memory card covering the 8x modules that usually carry the brand logo on, also a metal heatshield was slipped over the rubber strips on the card that said void if removed, after i fitted the cards the computor picked the cards up as
G.skill, i contacted the seller and here is his reply,
The Modules and semiconductors are manufactured by Hynix, and the program reads as G.SKILL,
the new memory seems to run fine in the pc, i would just like to know if i had been had?
Regards Stephen

Thanks to everyone for the replies, the seller did give me the option of sending
the memory for a full refund in not happy, i will stick with the Hynix/G.SKILL,
