Hi all which fan heatsink/watercooling im confused, heads hurting and i want to spend.
I just purchased , an amd64 3500+ manchester and i have it overclocked stable at 2.4 on normal heatsink. what i want to no is whats the best solution.
i have a gigabyte 3daurora case and was going water cooling again from gigabyte. but a lot of people have suggested that fans have better peformance now and cheaper solution. whith no real loss over water cooling solutions.

my motherboard is asus a8n premium skt 939.
was going to get galaxy water cooling kit as it was made for case.that was my intention. but will it be out peformed by heatsink fan combo? if so ill go that way..

cheers for help in advance...

Welcome to the forums... ;)

As far as i'm aware there is no aircooling heatsink out there which outperforms the best watercooling solution.
However, many manufacturers are now offering cheap all in one water cooling systems and i suspect that the performance of these is quite poor.
There also the risk of watercooling which you will have to consider.
Other than that i don't know much about water cooling, as the risk wass too much for me. I think asetek are know to be a good quality manufacturer.

The best aircooling heatsinks are these, in order of performance:
-Scythe ninja
-Thermaltake big typhoon
-Thermalright si/xp 120

With either a high performance or silent 120mm fan.

The only way to know if the galaxy wc kit will be better than those aircooling heatsinks above is to find a review comparing both, or by the same review site using the same kit/tests/conditions.

I hope you're folding btw. :)

Hi thanks for the replys im going for the scythe ninja so many reviews and so many positives. i looked into gigabytes water solution that fits my gigabyte case, but theres a huge problem im going sli leadtek 6800gt. and there would be a problem according to reviews ive read with the cooler blocking the second card.

And raikiri the 3500+ manchester does excist hehe ;) i have one.
supposedly x2 with closed/locked core.
cpuid
code name / manchester
brandid 4
REvision BH-E4
SKT 939
VOLTAGE 1.360 V (IS THIS TOO LOW)

im going to look into the ac freezer 64 pro too.
