Firstly, wouldn't it have been an idea to save a little more and crossfire your 4870 for such a resolution (Especially in Crysis)

First Question: If you have an OEM copy of vista, the licence isn't supposed to be transferrable, but give it a go, phone them up if you have to, and attempt to convince them you merely upgraded your existing pc.

If you have a Retail copy, you should just be able to activate, and keep the old one running. If you chose to continue running vista on your old machine, I believe you'd have problems with WGA and Windows Update.

Second Question: Raid 5 every time.

That's not a problem - the system BIOS isn't showing RAID arrays - they pop up elsewhere in the boot sequence.

And you'll pay a terrible price in performance for going RAID5.

so what you use with the system i have 1st post

i have windows installed now with 2 drives in raid 0 and 4 drives in raid 5

I don't find any hit in performance with Raid5, theoretically it should out perform standalone hard drives (controller dependant, of course)

You'll pay a much higher price for going Raid 0 when a drive fails.

where here is what is happening
the raid5 array 4 disks was rebuilding with the windows software and it says disk drive on port3 failed
so what i have done is put the disk drive which was on port 3 on the motherboard on port5 of the motherboard. now it is rebuilding
if i am right the failed disk should move to port5

i need that mutch because i have lots of hd helicopter vids
