finaly got my registration accepted here on the forum have been reading for a while though. just a question i was/am planning to buy the overclocked "titan exodus" from the main website with a 5850 card will this do for gaming or would i get a better system buying single components, bearing inmind i have never overclocked before. thanks for your time and look forward to hearing from you all.

ps budget is £800 no monitor or peripherals needed

Welcome to the forum.

The Titan Exodus is not bad value if you are not sure on overclocking. It would cost you around £730 to build with a 5850 so for ~ £780 the £50 difference for a built pc and overclocked isn't at all bad.

Hello and welcome to the forums :)

The titan is a good system with a 5850 also worth looking at the 460 1gig graphics cards as they are only a bit slower and are cheaper than the 5850. The bonus is you get a warrenty with the rig where if you buy individual bits you wont.

basically the best rig/parts for gaming at £800 ie is the titan exodus going to last me a couple of years.

oh yeah i am currently trying to play on a pentium 4 D 820 dual core with a geforce 8400s 512mg with 1 gig ram super powerful system i know :)

The titan cyborg is good value at £704:99 and includes a 460 1gig graphics card and add the OCZ vertex 2 60gig for £94 etra to really make it fly :) (blows your budget by £19)

The titan exodus shoudl be enough for a couple of years and if you add the 470 graphics card (blows your budget by £14) it will last for a bit longer as the 470 destroys the 460 in performance.

The 470 is faster than the 5850 but the i5 is faster than the phenom x4. Its swings and roundabouts. Overall the i5 should be the faster rig dependign upon what game your running.
