Hi everyone, I am new on the forum and in truth I don't know much about computers. I currently have an Alienware m15x which i use to use for gaming a lot. Now a days I am too busy to game and the laptop is used for more mundane tasks such as invoicing etc. However it hasn't had an easy life and is in need of some tlc. This includes a new screen, a new charger, possibly some replacement hardware and if not some serious software/driver updates. As I said my knowledge of the workings of computers is very basic so I am looking for advice on places to send my laptop for repair, I have heard far too many horror stories of people either being ripped off or computers being returned in a worse state than before they went to be repaired. I am in Essex but travelling to areas of Suffolk, Kent or London would not be out of the question. Alternatively if a member of the forum is local and able to do the work needed I would be happy to pay for time spent doing so. If there is a different area of the forum I may be more successful in finding the answers I would appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction.
