Cheers guys Sammy S8 no longer charging and is creaking anyway at 5 years old, fancied a change. Need to get sorted out fast.
That one is nice and has the folding pins which is good for travel.
You can pair it with the MagSafe charger for the full Apple experience (tm)

Yes I'm going to get a mag later, just wanted to get sorted for tommorow when phone arrives.
The cable in the box is USB A to lightning, so if you buy that adapter you'll need a USB-C to lightning cable.

Decided on the 13 in the end, the bigger screen would have been nice but couldn't really justify the extra expense.

Yeah thing is I need a phone now. Shame this one couldn't cling on to lfe for another few months. I could always have another look when the ones come out.

I’m still using the cable that came with my iPhone 5. It’s plugged into the charger by my bed and works perfectly with no visible damage.
Cables that are handled properly don’t break. I’ve never had a lighting cable fail. I’m not saying they don’t fail but if you treat them correctly and don’t remove them by pulling on the cable, they last a long time. It’s like any cable, disconnect it by holding the plug, not the cable and it’ll last a lot longer.
I’m talking about any cable, not just Apple.
