I have got a 32" philips lcd hd ready
and also a winfast gforce agp 6200td graphics card

when i run it through my lcd picture is fine using 1024 x 768m but when i select hd(720p or 1080i) the picture looks good but it does not fit the screen properly, i know the lcd works fine because i have got a samsung dvd upscaller and it works in 720p and 1080i

could it be the graphics card? or do i need a more up to date 1
i have also got the latest drivers for the card.
I have been on the leadtek website and there is a bios update to fix hd problems, but how do i flash the graphics card,(which software)

http://www.leadtek.com.tw/eng/support/download.asp?downlineid=118&downline=GeForce+A6200+TD

please help as i have some hi-def divx trailors which i want to see the quallity of it on my lcd
thanx

What connections are you using? Is it vga, cus on philips tv's the vga input only supports 1024x768, and not the widescreen resolutions. If your not using the DVI out already then try it with a dvi to hdmi cable and set the resolution to 1280x720, which should work much better.

yes i am using a dvi to hdmi convertor, it works fine with 1280x720 but i my card is hd ready, so when i set it to 720p or higher that is where the problem is.

Most of the Philips will accept 1:1 pixel mapping get your graphics card outputting 1366x768
any input ***x720 or ***1080 the tv will expect to be HD and interlaced at the 1080 resolutions
I Have setup several Philips but not one with HDMI, although my understanding is it treats it as a DVI regarding PC inputs...You need to take a look at avforums

Really?? Can you provide a link to that? I would be really interested as I had my heart set on a philips tv until I looked in the online manual and saw in the pc compatibility chart that only up to 1024x768 was supported. This was the case for all the latest models.

To bios flash the card you need to download nvflash (google it) and you need a floppy disc and drive, if you haven't got one you might be able to make a bootable cd but not sure.

I have only played with the 1366x768 models with DVI connector, they will run best at 1368x768 into the DVI or VGA with Ati Graphics using Powerstrip
DVI is the only way to go ;) You should be able to run 1366x768 with nvidia Graphics as I currently have an Atec 42" running 1:1 as crisp as a lcd monitor ( it uses a Philips 1366x768 panel) . I am not sure if it uses a Philips or LG Scaler my guess is a LG scaler which passes through at native resolution as many people report 1:1 is possible on LG's

It is my understanding the later philips with HDMI should work the same as they dropped the PC (vga input) so a DVI to HDMI cable is all You need

I don't think You will find much helpful infomation around the net on this as I know I have helped a couple of people on the AV forums

Finally Yes all those models were advertised as supporting 1024x768 or some such max resolution also

Thanks. I'll ask philips for a bit more info on this.

I would think they would just quote You the manual ;)

Surefire way is borrow a laptop with DVI out and go along to Your friendly Comet , Dixons, Whatever and ask if you can test it on a display TV, Be sure to setup Your custom resolutions first as You have to override the TV Monitors EDID
