My name is Kris, First time poster! - I want to introduce myself with a dilemma.
My current rig is as follows:
Coolermaster CM690 II Advance USB 3
Asus P8z77M Pro Board
GTX 295 (borrowed)
300GB Hard drive
250GB Mac drive (not installed)
16GB RAM
Intel i7 2700K stock
Coolermaster H70
So here's the first problem:
I'm in the market for a new graphics card and the ones I'm after are either the ASUS GTX 660ti Direct CU II TOP - Highest spec 660ti I know
OR
ASUS GTX 670 DIRECT CU OC - Mid range one I think
I'm not great with these things (anymore) as I'm too engulfed in uni to really be interested in the differences. Ideally I want to know what the best one for me would be, my rig is new and the card in it was borrowed but with driver problems causing windows 8 (lol) to crash to black screen twice, I think it's time for a new one anyway. This brings me onto problem two:
Do I go for a 1TB hard drive or a 128GB ssd? - I can only get one right now, my hard drive is actually slowing down (it's given me almost 7 years of service and has also had issues with windows loading times) - Would I be alright for now just bunging that and the 5000rpm mac drive into there as storage until I can get a bigger hard drive in favour of an SSD?
Third and finally, my usb 3 ports at the front of my case are plugged in, but won't accept usb 2 devices.
Sorry for the incredibly lengthy first post, and I hope this is in the right place!
