Hello All,

Just signed up for the forum, from what I have seen so far you guys seem to know a hell of a lot about computers. That's great as I am not that good with them but I do appreciate the beautifully build of these machines and as my last computer has just died and am in waiting for the new one I realise how I miss it. I am using my daughters laptop to write this. I have just purchased the Goliath computer and I think I am right in saying that it does not come with WiFi connectivity? If that is the case I wondered if any of you could steer me in the right direction as to the best way to pick up my router signal (Virgin Media cable) which is anther room. I would prefer to have an internal PCI board rather than it be on a usb. I want a device that matches the power of the Goliath any help from you would be appreciated. I have been looking around at the options but they range from a few pounds to several grand. No I will not be able to afford the several grand options, lol. Thanks in advance.

that one???

get yourself a good N range router. Do you have Cable or DSL (BT type phone line)

The get yourself a good N range dongle and slot it in behind the PC on the rear USB slots, you won't even see it.

You could even go down the route of getting CAT53 flat cable and run the wafer thin cable under carpets to your desktop PC. Wired networks are more stable.

Thanks subbytna and ricky for your advice looks like I will go with your selection ricky and thanks very much, it's great when people help you, bit like it used to be when i was a lot younger.:D

I was about to post that one above. Its much easier, as I always find that USB dongle software is usually crap! :)

i used to use a USB dongle getting always 100% signal but it would lose strength when playing games so for gaming i would always choose wired just so you dont dc during a game :)

another option would be to get a homeplug instead.

put one at your router, then the other where your pc will be.
then you can just use the standard net connector on your systems motherboard.

homeplugs tend to be abit more than a basic wireless adapter, but it should be quicker and more reliable
