Hi everyone, this is my first post so please be kind :)

I'm currently building my first Pc as a project and wish for some kind peeps to lend me their knowledge of what i'm doing right (if anything) and what im doing wrong (probably everything lol).

The pc im building will be mainly used for photoshop and lightroom as photography is my main hobby.... but will be looking at gaming also but due to gpu's being, lets say, on the expensive side right st this moment in time i thought id spend the money elsewhere and when needed i can add this at a later date :)

So first of all.... i know very little about building a pc but have used youtube, a very helpful chap on another forum, part pickers uk completed builds to come up with this

** Competitor linking not allowed - Stelly **

Now the site says its all compatiable but im not sure if this includes everything fitting inside the case and will slot together?

Any help is much welcomed :):)

Hi and welcome to the forums :)

You need to edit your post - OCUK who pay for these forums don't allow competitor links I'm afraid.

Having had a look you are overspending on certain components. You definitely don't need to spend over £100 on an AIO, a good quality 550w PSU will easily suffice and give you plenty of headroom to add a GPU further down the line. Do you really need to spend £50 on an LED controller? A decent £20-£30 air cooler will be completely fine, be very quiet and there's less to go wrong. A lot come with a pre-installed TIM pad so you could also drop the thermal paste. The savings you'll make could get you a faster CPU which will help with photoshop and lightroom.

As this is your first build - have you considered storage? I'd recommend a separate offline backup drive for your photography files - it would be awful to lose everything all at once.
