Hi guys, been lurking for a while and thought id pop in with my latest problem. ive got 2 acer s220hql and a gtx970. the gtx and one monitor are both new additions with the other monitor being about 2 years old. the new screen has a slight green tint and is noticably brighter, almost white when looking from extreme angles. ive tried alternating cables and dvi ports on the graphics card and the problem remains. settings seem the same wihtin nvidia software and nothing i can do with the monitors on board menu can make them match.

so, any ideas or is the new monitor faulty or is my old one just worn out?

Thanks

I had this some years back when I had dual screens, one was ever so slightly yellow, barely noticeable but it was there however they were brand new together.

I would suspect it's slightly burnt in after 2 years and LED's have probably been improved in the newest one you've purchased.

yeah im thinking maybe the older monitor has worn out a touch. you cant really notice a tint when focusing on one screen or the other, just a difference when theres a window accross both of them. one looks greener the other orange-er.
while theyre the same monitors, the new one is noticeably thicker so maybe different led's completely hence the brightness difference

most likely due to the age / maybe a change of panel used by the manufacture , but also worth checking that it is not in a different preset mode. e.g my 3 monitors are Samsung , which have option's called magic bright & magic angle which adjust a lot how the monitor looks, if your monitors have such features make sure they are both on the same setting.
