I currently have a geforce gtx 970, i5 6600 k, g skill ripjaw 2x 4 gb, 1 tb ssd
, 1 x 27 inch samsung curved monitor but would like to purchase another two, but is my pc powerful enough or would i need a gtx titan? Or 2 gtx 980 tis?

I would guess 2 x 980ti's to get decent fps with 3 4k monitors.. even then I'm sure you would not be able to max out the latest games. I'm sure there is someone here who has a 3 x 4k monitor set up

I have 2 x 980ti's and running 3 x 1440p monitors and no way I can max most things out without dropping down to 20 fps. Although most games on high I can get 60 fpsish.

Really depends on the game, Arma3 drops to 25 fps where BF4 is at 60+ fps

I don't see a 970 coping with 3 x 4K monitors at all.

The title's a bit confusing - are you asking about 3x 4k monitors? I only ask as the 27" curved Samsung monitor you've mentioned in the OP isn't a 4k panel.

3 x 4k monitors is 12x the resolution of Full HD and almost 7x 1440p. It will kill any graphics card you throw at it. I'd imagine even a 980ti is going to start to run out of VRAM at that sort of res and a single Titan X probably won't have the grunt to power it. You could well be looking at a £1500 bill for a pair of Titans to get it running well.

If you're just looking at 3x 1080p monitors then a 970 might just about cope but a 980ti would be better, if only for the extra VRAM.
