Hopefully not, Net2 is the bane of my life!Do you have anything to do with Access Control?
What issues are you facing? Also which version of the software do you use? Just curious.Hopefully not, Net2 is the bane of my life!
Welcome on board!
It was mainly the install what was at fault, and upper management springing it on us.What issues are you facing? Also which version of the software do you use? Just curious.
Often it is the installer at fault. Dataline can be problematic and it's recommended to use Ethernet connections where possible. A dataline check is not hard to do 60-80 ohms on both pairs and they should be similar readings for both. The correct cabling must be used.It was mainly the install what was at fault, and upper management springing it on us.
Downstream devices were not working - I told the installers as it is a daisy chain - you need to check the connections/rewire them from where it isn;t working. They didn't bleive me and it took a week, and it turned out the problem was exactly what I said it was.
One the of the other issues was the main control unit wouldn't update, and died when it tired the first time. We had to replace that and try again.
After a few teething issues it appears to now be solid, the issues we had was mainly the installers at fault. Not sure they knew what they was doing.

Paxton are very good with warranties. That unit would be replaced pretty quickly and with no fuss. You get a five year warranty on them. The odd one does slip through the net but the units are checked in the factory before being sent out. I have seen installers use units taken from other installs which are over ten years old. It's a good idea to check the serial numbers on them. Newer units start with 8 or 9.Yeah, we are all Ethernet.
Due to how it was done I didn't have time to do the network configuration i'd like to do. I'd ideally like it on it own VLAN, out of the way. Right now it isn't, but there are not many devices, or any security critical things on that segment so we are ok.
I remember the installer resetting the first central unit like 9 times. I mean after the third time you'd think it was broken.
It would constantly beep with flashing light on the PCB, no network connection even negotiated.
This is the weirdest hello thread ever.
This unit starts with 9 (The replacement one) so looks like the installer actually got a replacement unit lol!Paxton are very good with warranties.
