Currently using 2 old-but-cheap 22" HP LA2205wg. They are about 56 cm wide. I can't go too much bigger than this without making a new speaker mount setup.

I am going for a 4 monitor setup. Initially with these two plus two more but eventually with have 4 identical monitors. I need a lot of screen real estate so high resolution is necessary. However, I have no idea where to look.

Requirements:

  • high res. I guess 1440 will be okay but I'd rather go for 4K if there are monitors that aren't too wide for my desk
  • high brightness - my desk often receives light in the evenings and I'd rather not always have to draw the blinds to work
  • not for gaming just desktop/web browser work so don't need super high refresh rates, etc.
  • Any important video/photo work will be finished on accurate, HDR, colour-graded screens.
  • As it will be a 2x2 set up, good aesthetics or small bezels would be useful.
  • cheap! I don't have a huge budget especially if I'm going to upgrade my existing two.
What are my options? I see the super wide and curved screens and would consider going for two of these on top of each other but only for a good reason and if it makes sense for high productivity work.
