hi, will this new rig work?

semi buidling new rig....already have psu, gfx card, optical drives, keyboard, etc n speakers and case. already got ram too btw 1gb of it

Celeron D 3.33ghz
Asus P5s800 vm
goldern orb heatsink
maxtor 200gb ide harddrive
ati radeon 9600pro
?? im giving my dad some of my rig and upgrading myself but...this is the rig he will have...its not for anything special just an all rounder used for internet surfing word processing and a bit of light gaming

I'd probably go for a Sempron over a Celeron as the games performance boost is pretty big. 9600 is old news too - can't you pick up a 6600gt/7600gs or the like?

For light gaming I don't see why the 9600 pro can't be used, as long as the settings are on low for modern games. Agreed with the Sempron over the Celeron though.

Not saying it can't be used, just it's seems more economically viable to but a newer, lower-end card as they have the performance and are cheap.
