Hello everyone I'm new on the forum and was wondering if this would all be compatible..Thanks!

  • CPU: Intel Core i7-3770K
  • Motherboard: Asus Z77 Maximus V Gene
  • Memory: Corsair Vengeance Low Profile 8GB 1600MHz (Should I spend the extra cash to get the Corsair Dominator 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C10 1600MHz?)
  • Cooler: Corsair Hydro H100
  • Case: Corsair Carbide 500R
  • PSU: Corsair Builder Series CX 600W
  • SSD: OCZ Agility 3 120GB
  • Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar Green 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache
  • Monitor: Asus VE247H 24
  • Mouse+Keyboard: Microsoft Wireless Desktop 2000
  • Drive: Asus 24x DVD±RW DRW-24B3ST

I haven't saved up enough to buy a video card so I will order these now, then next month I will probably get a GTX670

Will be using this for gaming and occasional engineering stuff like ansys

Hi and welcome.

A few things to change,

• Get a ATX sized motherboard,

Gigabyte have a great 3 year UK based warrnty, these two,

Thanks! Allthough I kinda like how with asus I could just push a button and it overclocks itself. I won't be able to spend too much time on it for a while, or does it give bad settings?

do you really need a 3770k? you could save yourself some dosh if you got the 3570k instead

Yeah there's a big price difference! I need a big CPU so it can eat up any simulation and stuff with ease, and also I would like it to last as long as possible.

The Gigabyte board has Easytune6,

It has three preset overclock settings from low-high, or you can let it "autotune" and overclock your CPU properly for your chips abilities.
