Ok posted this on another forum, but same applies here! :)

Hi all,

Firstly, great forums here! Ive started to read whilst on break at work and some really good advice, tips, and of course photos!

Basically, im no pro photographer, far from it, Id call myself a new-newbie, but I enjoy snapping!

I took to my sisters Nikon D3100 18-55mm Kit, whilst on holiday in Jamaica a couple of months ago...I took loadsa pics, of me and family, and just general stuff...But also when just soaking up some sun, I had a play with the different settings...

Anyway, out of the many pics taken during the hol, there is only a handful I dare show which arn't embarrassing :)

1. Not bad, but I feel a tighter crop is needed.

2. A nice shot, but it looks a little underexposed. If I were shooting this I would lower my shutter speed and try not to cut off the tops of the straws.

3. Really creative, I like it. It would have been better in my opinion if you had panned the camera up a little so we had less of your arm and could see the top of the sand being thrown, but otherwise I like it :).

4. Again nice, but I feel a vertical would have been better.

5. Great shot, really like it.

6. Again really nice shot. Only thing putting me off is the fact the trees have been cut off. Try to either keep them in in the whole frame or not at all. It is still however a really good shot.

7. Really like this, don't really think it can be improved on!

8. Again really good IMO :).

9+10. Both shots have a good foreground, but i'm not sure the horizon is straight. Easily corrected though.

Overall I think it is a really good set, really enjoyed looking at these. All of the above comments are personally what I would have done if they were my images and in no way are right or wrong :)
