Hi guys,

Long time lurker, first time poster. I have just started buying the components in for my first build (the knowledge base on here is absolutely incredible).

So far I've purchased the Thermaltake x9 core case, i7-7700k (delid), and the MSI M7 mobo. In two minds whether or not to go with the 1080ti, or take the option of a really cheap 1080 off ebay that seem to be doing the rounds now . Should be getting the rest of my components in within the next 2 weeks, so i'll knock a build thread up when the time comes!

What resolution will you be playing at? Either the 1080 or the Ti will be a great choice but the Ti will definitely help if playing at 1440p/4k

I'm yet to purchase a 4k monitor, but it has crossed my mind, but i've been in the stage of 'I just want to buy everything in and build it' ha! The more I think about it, unless I find an absolute steal, I will probably go with the Ti. I'll just wait for MSI to officially release as their card colour scheme will fit in perfect with the build!
