Hibernate not working

My Hibernate used to work perfectly for many years, but suddenly recemtly, it returned from hibernate as if it had been restarted, i.e. Nothing remebered. i tried all the usual with power options, checked with DISM and SFC no errors found also setup Clean boot i cant see the hybersys file in the boot drive and windows returns from hibernate with the Boot Options screen, which i am sure is wrong. have set Hibernate enabled in an elevtaed CMD.

hope its somethig simple i can fix, with help of course.

What exactly does “check powercfg” mean ? And yes I have the hibernate option, or I wouldn’t be able to try it

Hi
Have fixed the PC auto starting immediately after hibernation, but the bad news is that since doing a repair upgrade of W10 it no longer hibernates, as it starts up with boot options as if from a restart or a shutdown...can I fix this please ?

Hibernate is turned on, it’s just not functioning correctly. Clicking on hibernate causes the PC to turn off, but when restarted using the KB it starts up offering the boot menu options and is as if from a restart or shutdown NOT hibernate, is there a way of fixing this please ? I really thought the repair install would fix all problems with windows
