Hidden & Dangerous 2 coop mode...

Well I've just picked up H&D2:SS so me and my housemate can play it in coop mode.

Something's not right though. When I start a coop game it doesn't play a mission video to tell you what you're meant to be doing.
It does in single player so why would it not in coop? It did in H&D 1...

It's an issue because not only do you not know what you're meant to be doing, you have no idea where you should finish and what equipment you need to take with you to complete the mission. :confused:

They released the first game in full for free (about 2 weeks after I'd bought it, grr!) so you shouldn't have any problem. Search for Hidden and Dangerous Deluxe.

Although if you want to play it coop you might have some issues. I just installed it and it's unable to host a network game. Probably a compatability issue with Vista, I have Vista x64 installed.

I personally think H&D was for it's time, a better game than H&D2 was in its.

The coop is what makes the games so special, and with H&D2 it was just an afterthought. Also the whole engine didn't advance much in the time between them.

Perhaps once Mafia 2 is done and dusted they will return to H&D and make a 3rd game. I've always got time for the WW2 setting, I just simply don't want to see yet another single player only game. That's just lazy on the publishers behalf.
