Yeah we totally sucked at that game :D

You were doing a lot better than me with that shotty mind!, i cant hit the damn thing at all lol.

That Nex kid on the server was owning all of us, just playing games with our fear hehe.

Gimme a shout on msn (my address is further up) if you or any other guys here fancy a game sometime.

The best was one time at a LAN, with all th lights turned off and everyone in games. There were 4 different servers of it running, and people had been forced to just change their names to unrecognisable things so nobody knew who they were playing.

I managed to get Hidden. So I saw the team come near me while I was on the ceiling, on guy left the party for a different direction, I followed the main party. For about 20 seconds there was many "Hidden Spotted" calls etc, my pipebombs going off everywhere, and then they were dead. I decided to pin the bodies up as a treat for the last guy alive. As i was pinning the last one p I saw him step round the corner, looked at me pinning his mate up for half a second, then turned around and legged it. Then he died :)

what router is it?

i've been playing for years behind a lot of different routers.. never had any problems

really depends how its set up though

Can't be a port opening problem... only need to open ports if acting as a server. Checked SOFTWARE firewall??

I dunno m8, I didn't set it up and I do know what things do just from researching it, but I don't know much about setting up routers. I have port forwarded all the ports for Steam to my computer, it don't make sense, it keeps saying "could not connect to the Steam network" etc. When I try log in with my account, but my account works fine because I play on it at a m8's house, but the problem is that it used to work and just magically died like a year ago and stopped working. My router works fine and all my other games work online perfectly don't have to do any procedures and that why I don't really want to tamper with any settings TOO much incase something gets messed up, but I've basically ruled out software, my computer Windows died so I had a fresh OS installed. WinXP Home SP2. Okay so its fresh and clean and I tried Steam and still the same error, meaning that it has to be something with the network. Also Steam doesn't work on the other computer on the network either.

Honestly I want to be able to play the games on my account on my computer, because I have like nearly all of the Valve games, HL2,CSS,CS,CSCZ,CSDS,HL,TF,BS,DOD,DOD: S. etc.

Any help is appreciated though, but pm's don't work here so Xfire or something.

I used to attend a lan with a few friends once a fortnight (untill the host moved house)

one of the regular games we played was AVP2 and we played it that way, very atmospheric, and the alien often spent his time hiding in a duct waiting for a single marine to venture away from the group.

unfortunatly the online avp2 community just played it like any other fps shame really great potential in a game.

This mod sounds similair. Can you still get CS free or do you have to buy it now?

I have no idea what is wrong with this, no one seems to know :( .

Steam platform updates fine but I just can't log into my account. I don't know if this is much use, but again I have no understanding of what this is saying, rough guess is something is blocking it but I don't know how to fix this, its in the Steam.log, the following:

CsComm Session Dec-08-2006 15:38:18.681 [2276] ReconnectThread (2276) Starting
CsComm Session Dec-08-2006 15:40:06.484 [2276] ReconnectThread (2276) Told to exit

That, as I tried to log in and get the error message ^ this appears in the Steam.log, as you can see its trying to start then being told to exit :( I am really at a loss on how to fix this :( .
 
'Ging', one of the developers, is my mate from school. I think they've carried on with the project after finishing his degree and has just done his maters in game design. We actually went to the same uni but at a different campus. We've lost touch now really, only see him now and again.

He persuaded me to play the original non source version but i haven't tried it with source yet. I'll give it a go this weekend...looks good.
 
The mod is free bolerus

Killing the hidden is normally a case of pure luck. Because you get hit by him, then panic and spray allover the place. :D
