Hidden usb port found under laptop....

I took the covers off my Amilo A 1645 to clean cpu cooler etc and next to the hard drive under a small cover is a usb port. It is mounted horizontaly not vertically. Any ideas what it is for?

have seen this on a few fuji and other manufacturers, can only assume it was for an optional Bluetooth module. nothing else of any use springs to mind

Edit: Just found this:-

The listed Amilo models have a small slot nearby the hard disk. If you open the little slot door you see a USB connector. You can connect the CONNECT2AIR Bluetooth USB Dongle from Fujitsu Siemens Computer.

This is possible with the following Amilo models

A7645 / 1645
M1425 / 7425
M1405 / 7405
M1424 / 7424
