hi guys quick explanation.
my mums old pc was a piece of junk from a high street store.and was really slow.
i decided to upgrade it with a better mobo, cpu and hard drive.
i changed it all fine but i am having a problem with the hard drive. its an IDE.
i connected the dvd and the harddrive (in that order) on the IDE cable, but the mobo wouldn't recognise the IDE hard drive.
so i just installed windows 7 on the new sata one.
now all her old music/docs on still on the old IDE drive, i have tried every setting i can inc. all the jumpers and swapping the cable order around, but still no joy.
i have since fitted it to my pc and it is detected, but i can't see her account on it
it has 12gb free of 144gb
going through every folder on the harddrive it has about 5gb.
i know she had her own account as i helped set it up, but it only shows
guest, admin and public
any idea how to find it?
