nothing illegal here just wondering if these programs work? I've found a programe called hide ip and it seems to change my address. Any views?

Only way this is possible is by proxying (relaying via another system on the Internet.)

it says change proxy then it gives me another address?

Basically yes. It's not without disadvantages though. Generally unless you host the proxy yourself on a remote shell, or pay for access to one, you can guarantee it will be dog slow. Result? Slower, probably painfully slow, web surfing.

yeah loading webpages is really slow, not really woth the effort! Would it block say P2P or torrent progs or does it just block say Firefox and IE, just curious i dont file share!

It'd just block web surfing. P2P usually requires direct connections.

Like you say, not worth the effort!
