Hide specific file types

I am using a program called torq and it creates .tdq file for every mp3 i use which clutters up my finder window. Is there a way to hide specific files with a certain extension so they do not show up in finder? Thanks

Could you not just shove them all in a folder? Or am I missing the point?

Unfortunately not. Because the next time i use the mp3 it will see that the .tdq file is not there and create another one in its place.

Hmm, if its a purely visual thing you could organise your files by Type, which would at least group together the filetypes.

If not, I'm thinking some sort of script to get rid of the files. Unless someone else knows of a way. I have to go out now but I'll check back.

A 'smart folder' of mp3s only - in the folder you are working in - will only show mp3s in that folder.

That might be a good idea. File > New Smart folder. Set it to Kind > [is Music] > [is mp3] if you follow.

hmm never know you could do that, pretty cool trick. Its not an ideal solution but its a good start

Its software for dj'ing. It analyzes the track when you put it in the program saving stuff like the waveform, cue points, bpm data in the tdq file so next time you load it it opens much quicker.
