I tried a few hiding folder software but no luck, my extenal encloser media player can still see the folders ive hidden. Any ideas guys?

my media player cant see the "System Volume Information" folder, What way is that hidden? cos I need that whatever that is. :D

the system volume folder is set with the attributes of hidden and system

I think you will have to you the command line attrib command to set the system attribute though

start > run > type "attrib +h +s <foldername>"

it may be the system attribute that your player ignores, but the down side is that for you to see it in windows you will have to turn off "hide operating files" and "hide hidden folders" in folder options

So this method may not be ideal

lol exactly what i was thinkin'
:)

Na I was going to use it as my backup drive aswell, but for some reason my acornis partition images get corrupted when I test or restore a image from the media player. I then took the hard drive out and tried it in my icybox and the acornis images work fine

So Im going to buy another hdd for my icybox for my backing up.
