Hi guys,
I have just rebuilt my PC – new CPU, mobo, etc – and installed Windows 7 Home Premium. I was using XP before. There are multiple users in the household and the HDDs are partitioned with each user having their own partition. The OS and programs are also installed in their own partition. Under XP I had it set up so that each user could only see (in My Computer etc) their own drive and a shared one. Only I could see all the drives. That way they couldn’t break anything that wasn’t there own or mess with Windows or the installed software. I can’t remember how I did it. I think I may have used Boot Magic or Partition Magic, but I don’t have those for Windows 7. I certainly didn’t do a manual edit on the registry. I used EASEUS Partition Master the other day to partition the discs and you can hide partitions there but it hides them from all users.
Any recommendations for software that will enable me to do this again in Windows 7 Home Premium?
