Hi

I'm a systems admin and have around about 200 machines i'd like to install seti or something similar on.

Back in my college days I went under the name of mpeg10 on the OCUK team seti though I'm not sure this still exists.

Anyway was wondering if someone could give me a pointer into what distro I should be going for and how to hide it under the hood of all my XP machines. I do not want any traces of the program apart from the CPU usage and maybe a one process, this is mainly so my users can't go poking around and disabling the thing.

thanks for your help.

Firstly welcome back aboard.

Seti has gave way to Boinc a multi project platform, but Seti still runs on it, just new and improved (sort of).

I think Biffa's BOINC Remote Manager scripts might be helpfull, have a look here.

Any problems just ask, someones sure to know the answer.

TDF.
