Hifi people please advise

I have extended my speaker cables by 10m and I'm not hearing my music like I used to.

I have a cheap DAC £50 and some tannoy 6.4 speakers + £1000 power amp.

For the record!!! I'm not a audiophile!! But I find my self, turning the volume up, trying to create the "resolution" I'm used to.

I just think the music I'm hearing seems flatter than normal and hard to hear the seperate channels of trebble, base etc... hence why I say resolution.

Movie it closer again?, Better speaker cable (£30 15m).... Or buy a better DAC

Please advise

For the record, before it sounded good, bit I was sitting of a distance of 5m... I'm now much closer 1m and it just seems flat

Revert back to previous setup. It's moving closer rather then the speaker cable.

I do question the 50 quid dac with a 1k power amp though.

i agree with vincent - 1m is way to close, especially if they are the precision 6.4 speakers - floorstanders need room.
