What are the clocks on the card @ stock? 82c does seem a lil high without an overclock tbh. What case / input fans are you using? Maybe the heat isn't leaving the case quick enough..

Air flow in that case looks to be not very good. Do you have side fan on that?
The one fan at front isn't going to provide enough air flow to the GPU what is also blocked air flow by the sound card.

Honestly I would look at a better case with more fans etc.

But if you have a side fan that will help.

Seconded.

There's not enough cool air being fed to the card and I suspect the incoming airflow is being disrupted by the GPU fans.

You need at least one exhaust fan in the top of the case to clear out the hot air that the monster CPU cooler is blocking.

Yeah it's an old Antec P183, there isn't a fan in the side only those in the case, although i may be able to fit one in the roof

Would you just recommend getting a new case then?

I'm looking for a great one, so any help would be appreciated.

Also, the cpu at stock is running hotter than it should with this noctua so maybe that explains everything.

Yeah new case time bud
You have very decent hardware living in a run down shack haaa

I can vote highly on Corsair Carbide 540 or Corsair 600T depends on your budget.
But it does come with one down side only two mounts for 3.5 drives but if you good at modding then.

I zipped tied my two at the back of the case :D

The case - its in two part section, everything from SSD,HDD,PSU DVD drives all hide in the back. Just the main things you want are in the front giving you very good air flow.

Here's a pic of my rig...

Not much room for the card to breath there tbh bud.

I would say it's worth picking up a new case. You can get some awesome ones from anything from £50 upwards now.

Should drop you stock temps by about 10c+, let your other bits breath a bit better as well.

The reason I have stuck with my Antec 900 so long is it's been modded with no drive bays, cards have lot's of space with two input fans. Plenty of room to breath. Run 2 GPU's at 1219mhz with stock cooling and 75c - 85c is about max temp during games. A new case would be well worth for your setup imho.

ohh they look a different level from my current case!

Other ones I was looking at was the Fractal Design R4, but can't find it on here - Corsair c70, NZXT Phantom and CM Storm Stryker.

At the moment, I'll probably go for the Corsair 540 as it looks amazing!
