Just built myself a new pc with the following cpu and mainboard

Processor
Model : Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 6600 @ 2.40GHz
Speed : 2.40GHz

Mainboard
ASUS P5B

I also installed a Zalman CNPS7700 cooler that I had lying around but I'm concerned about the temps. At idle the cpu is running at 46 degrees and the mainboard is 42 degrees. Are these temps on the high side? Should I get a better cooler? If so which?
Keep in mind that I'm in Australia and that it's summer over here so the temps are slightly higher than back in the UK which would make a difference.

Those temps aren't anything to worry about but if you want to OC you might want to bring the CPU temp down a bit. What are you using to measure them?

As for the cooler, I recommend the Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro. I have also used the Scythe Ninja but it didn't work as well for me and was more expensive. Others swear by the Tuniq Tower.
