So I just replaced my old motherboard, installation was easy and I applied new thermal paste (artic ceramique 2) and out my freezer 7 pro back on. Everything seemed fine but when I got to the bios I saw the temp was over 50 degrees. I tryed again and remounted with new paste and no change and it wont boot into windows it BSOD while booting so its defo overheating, im conecerned as Im not sure if the freezer 7 is AM3 compatible, the mounting on it didnt fit perfectly on the socket and the AM3+ socket seems slightly taller so I dont know if its making good contact with the CPU.

Do you think the freezer 7 is causing the problem, its screwed in as tight as i can go

just found this on aritc silver website about the compound could it be causing the problem Important Reminder:
Due to the unique shapes and sizes of the particles in Céramique, it will take a minimum of 25 hours and several thermal cycles to achieve maximum particle to particle thermal conduction and for the heatsink to CPU interface to reach maximum conductivity. (This period will be longer in a system without a fan on the heatsink.) On systems measuring actual internal core temperatures via the CPU's internal diode, the measured temperature will often drop slightly over this "break-in" period. This break-in will occur during the normal use of the computer as long as the computer is turned off from time to time and the interface is allowed to cool to room temperature. Once the break-in is complete, the computer can be left on if desired.
