High CPU temps

Hi at the moment i ma encoding some video on my laptop and it is running very hot, between 85-90, is this bad for it, its running normal with no problems

can you plse give your advise

i have a sony sz2m/b laptop if that helps

What CPU, and what are you measuring the temps with (this last bit is important)? That does sound very hot...

edit: looks like a core duo T2300 - try using Intel TAT to measure the temps...

well just tryed tat and im geting between 88-90 should i be worried, tho i do know that encoding video is very cpu intesive

Maybe it would be worthwhile if you invested in a notebook cooler??

This one is for laptops which have a 15" screen or less, but I am sure you can find one bigger if you need bigger, my bro has a 17" version of that one.
