High Definition Audio, no sound.

I have a Mobo with HD Audio on, but the problem is I cannot get any sound out of it.

So i tried plugging the AC 97 in instead of HDA, nothing. I tried a clean install of Vista because the HD Driver kept on being magically installed. Again the device is still HD

How can i get sound?

Working now. Well kind of

Still not in AC mode, but i didn't disable HD Audio in the Bios, just set the front panel to AC so thats why
