Hello.
I currently have a set of Gamecom 780's, but these have snapped at the curvy part above the hinge, they still work and are still in one piece but it is only a matter of time until they snap off completely. Common fault apparently, and if you have proof of purchase then Plantronics send you a new set free of charge.
Unfortunatly I cannot find these on my order history, I only use OCUK and another popular book store but for some reason they don't show.
So I have decided that it has taught me a lesson: buy cheap buy twice (a recurring life lesson).
So, £300 budget, new set needed.
It has come down to the following, now unfortunatly I cannot try any, I live in Cornwall, OCUK is in Stoke on Trent... 350miles away. Nowhere else sells them all. Short of buying all 3 and DSR'ing two, which I don't agree with as then the supplier has 2 used headphones that they can't sell at retail.
(I really disagree with the law when it comes to DSR, owning an online business I get people do this all the time, some send back blatently used product that I didn't even supply to them!)
So it is between the following. Please note I don't have any intention of buying a soundcard, as I use motherboard digital out + DAC + Yamaha integrated amp + accoustic energy floorstanders, so it is pointless buying a soundcard just for using teamspeak3.
Gamecom Commander.

Any ideas which is best? USB preferred I guess but if the Beyers are really that good I guess I could use them with a headphone amp or even through my Yamaha int amp when I need to be quiet.
Please note I don't wear headsets as usual, just around my neck so I can hear team mates, as I wear glasses and haven't found a set that don't interfere with them yet. Laser eye surgery when I have time to take a few days off as per recovery, so probably in a few years!
