High End Gaming PC

Well depends how clean you want your case...as with everything i go for best 'bang for buck' so the TX950 for me but if your pc is a showpiece or in your case heat is a problem a HX850w will be better because it lowers the cable clutter inturn increasing the amount of air flow....your call...but i would go tx950w with a nice big case to hide the cables :D

Well you guys were more than surely helpful but just to be 100% certain and as i see it coolermaster is not recommended for the PSU, how about an HX750W? Will that be enough or will i then have other problems instead?

Mainly an i7 930 overclocked at a bit safe levels with an Ati HD 5870, 6 gb Tri-Channel RAM at most 2 hard disks all fitted on a Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R Mobo.

I really wouldnt mind spending another 20-30 bucks just for a better and more reliable PSU so even concidering the HX750w and TX950w do you think the best choice would be to go for the HX850w even if that costs a bit more?

Thanks a lot guys you've been very helpful.

750 will easily power it, i have a 700w ocz powering an i7 920 @3.6ghz, 6gb ram, 1 hd5970, 2 hard drives, 1 sound card, several fans and a blu-ray drive :)

Cheaper i5 w/ 5970 alternative.

well as you said the 950w is nice and has most of the features but as you said and as i saw in a review the results are similar with the HX 850w but with some long wirings which will be blocking airflow if it cant be hidden well. Since the case is not huge i thing long wires will be a problem in the CM-690ii. Any experience with the wires monkeyking since you have the same case?
