Hey guys,

Well I have got a bit of cash to spend on a high end laptop. I am a photographer and would like to be able to process images coming back from a shoot (Using photoshop). I am also a gamer and would like to play some of the latest games on it. I understand that there is a lot of laptops out there which will do the job but its a bit of a stormy sea for me and im not able to choose one specifically.

I would like something around 14-15.6 " in size and it to have an I7 processor. Im not too worried about the RAM or the hard drive as I already have plans to swap them out to better equipment (SSD and 16gb of RAM). I am mainly looking for something that has a good build quality and some good parts.

I have about £1300 to play around with. I have looked at the Alienware laptops and the Origin laptops. Are there any other laptops that I should look at before making my mind up?

You'll have to drop the graphics to manage that. My setup would cost around £1700 to match and be about £1935 to get a larger SSD and more ram.

Look up the vortex III LE.

Hi, I work with Dell, on the Alienware laptop that you were looking at, have a look at the Alienware gaming laptop compare page to see which suits best. You have options of M14x M17x, M18x to choose from.
