Hi, I've recently come into some money and wopuld like to retire my old PC (Athlon 3000+, ati X600) to an HTPC and build a new monster machine virtually from scratch. I have a DVD burner and 2*300GB sata drives in a RAID 0 config in 2* 5 1/4 coolers that are going into this system.

These are some parts I have picked out and reckon they should all go together OK. Going to try some water cooling for the first time so not too sure if I have everything required for that, plus any advice on putting a water cooling system would be much appreciated.

I probably wont be putting this together until early July so was wondering whether its worth waiting until new Intels are announced/released on the 22.

Thanks in advance, the monkey

dont get fluid xp, find a different site and get Feser One (F1), im not disregarding overclockers but they should really stock it as its one of the best water cooling solutions around.

Good spec. If it were mine I'd change the PSU for a 620W Corsair. Definitely wait until you're ready to build to buy. Everything gets cheaper over the long run.

Yes very nice spec their. Like Billy said just change the PSU to the Corsair 620 and your be laughing.

Yeah and dont do what i did,i bought my pc in like 4 parts lol  . I could have saved quite a bit of money and got a better spec. But oh well lessen learned.

Thanks for the advice, I realise prices are always dropping for components so will buy the whole lot in one go. Just wondering if its worth waiting for the new Intel CPU's or the 9800 Nvidia's. Will look for the other coolant when I order it, like someone said in the reviews for that coolant, whats £10-£15 on coolant if its gonna affect £2000+ of equipment

I would stick with the Enermax Infiniti 650Watt PSU....the infiniti is a better spec psu then the corsair 620watt..

Review here on the 720watt infiniti PSU http://www.jonnyguru.com/review_details.php?id=102

Don't get the razer copperhead, as a gamer I bought one and thought it might be worth the investment, I've had better responses from a rollerball! I don't know if it's mine but it doesn't pick up small movements very well and the shape of it is awful (it looks good, but I swear the extra buttons weren't designed for a human hand) On the highest settings I've found it's too sensitive it's more of a pain in the bum than anything else. Don't get me wrong, you want something responsive, but having an ultra sensitive mouse makes aiming harder, not easier. :(

Perhaps try a logitech?

OK, thinking I'll swap the mouse for the Logitech G5 Gaming-Grade Laser Mouse. I's there anything else I need for the water cooling, never done it before so not 100% on it, and does anyone have any advise on putting one together?

one more vote for holding off a little - at least until cpu price drop on July 22nd. :)

And for the corsair HX620W, its a beauty, no snags, nice n quiet, can't go wrong mate.

a lot of people seem to be reccomending the corsair so might have to swap this. Will probably buy some of the stuff such as case, water cooling kit and other bits that wont go down in price then wait for the 22 July price drop to get the rest of the bits.

I've been thinking about the cooling in this system, would single 120mm radiators * 2 be enough? I would setup the system

res -> pump -> cpu -> rad1 -> gfx -> rad2 -> res

would this provide enough cooling or would another radiator help? I would like to keep everything in the case as possible so it doesn't look untidy.

Also any opinions on whether it is worth going for the 30" dell over the 24", is it worth an extra £500
