Hi, my current PC is dieing so want to get a new one, i have a £2,000 budget. I have looked over the internet for the best prices so some parts are from here, and other places

the parts i have so far are

intel core i7 990x £660.00

Asus Rampage III Black Edition £360.00

Corsair H100 Hydro £88.00

Corsair Vengeance 12GB (3x4GB)1600MHz £136.00

OCZ ZX Series 1250W £125.00

coolermaster-haf-x £133.00

Western Digital Caviar Black 500GB £45.00

OCZ Agility 3 120gb £157.00

Samsung 12x BD-ROM £54.00

the graphics card im unsure what to get, i have a budge of £250 for that.

the PC will be used for gaming as well as doing uni work where i will need power for programming, video editing, image editing, running 1 or more virtual machines or doing several of these things at once.

also anything u think may increase performance would be helpful too

i want to get 1 video card, but looking to upgrade it in the future, and i choose the 990x because this PC i want to last ~3yrs, therefore choose the latest products out atm

also the mobo i chose cos its easy overclock as well as its expansion room

Ivy Bridge is out next year, the Gen3 motherboard I linked too will support it also and has the latest PCI-E generation of bandwidth.

Buying a socket 1366 now is dumb, spending nearly £700 on a CPU is dumb.

You can buy the i7 2600K, have a faster CPU now and still have money left over to upgrade to Ivybridge when it comes out.

Sorry if you dont like my phrasing but its the only way to get it across.

originally i was going to wait till ivy bridge came out, was supposed to be by january time but cant wait any longer as my current PC is really dieing

and no i havent bought anything yet, what i meant was those are the pats that i have looked at and would build in to the system
