Im looking to upgrade my PC (I say upgrade but only part ill be moving to new system is my sandisk extreme SSD)
I currently have QX9650 Intel CPU 8gb DDR Ram and ATI 5870 1Gb GPU.
Looking to spend approx. £1800 (all at Overclockers only) to play games on 24 inch monitor 1920 x 1080 resolution. Build primarily for Crysis 3, Battlefield 4.

I want:

Intel 4770K 3.5ghz CPU
ASUS Sabertooth Z87 Motherboard
Thermaltake Water 2 pro CPU Cooler
Thermaltake Armour Revo Case
Thermaltake 1275 Platinum 80 plus PSU
Gainward Phantom GTX 780 GLH edition 3gb
Western Digital 1tb Velociraptor Hard Drive

RAM I am unsure I ultimately want 32gb but will be getting 16gb for now would prefer fastest RAM and am looking at Patriot Black Mamba 2x 8gb set. it has been 5 years since I properly built PC and unsure how to decipher all the RAM MHz speeds. Overclockers lists the speed category as Dual 10666, 12800 and 14400+ but any help would be greatly received about A) what RAM for this system or B) whether the components listed could be changed for something else? I would like to delve into Overclocking the CPU for my first time ever, I don't want anything ridiculous just stable and so my PC could hopefully last another 5 years or so!

Thanks

Hi I would be looking to SLI the GPU in the future which is why I went for that PSU, also I only want the 2x 8gb RAM kit so I can upgrade to 32gb in future by just buying another 2x 8gb RAM kit. I have a DVD writer so don't need one of them either but thanks for super speedy reply!!

If you want the Sabertooth fair enough but this Z87-X OC is an excellent mobo. It's cheaper to get the i7K and H100i (which has a LED you can set a custom colour to built in) bundled too. Case is just a quirky alternative you might like with lots of space and options for watercooling, great airflow from design and having three 140mm fans as standard. I'm well under budget so could have even upgraded the H100i fans with Corsair SP120 Quiet editions for example.

Best of luck with the build, I look forward to seeing what you settle on :)
