Is it me or has there been a lot less i7 type spec me threads recently?

Seems like there's a lot more budget building going on...

I think the initial i7 rush, and the price drop rush, have died down.

You tend to get an initial surge from the hardcore group when released (those who have to have it, after a while that vanishes and you get a surge of "it's come down a lot, I can build it for £800-1000" which again peters out.

Once it hits the 500 price point, you'll get a stack of fairly budget-oriented builds too. It hasn't quite hit for anyone looking to spend £500-700 unless they're just swapping CPU/mobo/ram.

Still think you're taking the mick...but, oh well

EDIT: Add the cooler as well

It'll be quite a while before it hits those kind of prices though.

liking that.

if i was to use two 22" monitors, would i be able to watch full screen Hd films on one while borrowing the internet on the other without any lag/problems?

Still seems quite a lot of 'spec me an i7 please' around. What amuses me is that people are selling i7 systems already.
