High fps not smooth

I have recently built a system with GPU: 6600 xt CPU :3700 x Ram: 16 gb 3200 mhz ripjaw gskill Psu: 750 watt corsair Mobo : B 550 tomahawk MSI Nvme : 1 tb Kingston Monitor : MSI G241 144 hz
I get very good and stable fps in all games but they do not feel smooth , and I have tried with and without vsync and freesync.
I have ruled out any software failure , since I have updated my GPU drivers to the latest and even did a Windows clean install and the issue persists and my bios is flashed to the newest.
That means that one of the components is faulty and is causing this. I would assume that is most likely the GPU but I do not rule out Mobo, CPU and psu. I have a warranty on all the parts and it would be nice if someone could help me find the component that needs to be returned to the merchant.

How did you monitor the framerates ?

What model psu is your corsair ?

In game and amd radeon software metrics overlay. Corsair RM 750x

What do your frame timings look like? Doom has a good tool for that integrated if you have the game.

In valorant it is around 3 ms

Have you tried locking the refresh rate tò 75hz for example to see if it smooths gameplay ?

I have tried that, same issue. I do not get stutters or fps drops.

is your monitor set to 144hz in windows? some systems will annoyingly default to 60hz.

failing that is it mainly online games like valorant? it could be old school internet lag.

edit : Ha! upon typing this I realised that i hadn't checked this since i reinstalled windows on my main system a couple weeks back and my 2nd monitor was set to 60

Monitor is set to 144 HZ and I have fiber internet with very stable connection and ping
